Barnard Castle School is a private day and boarding school founded in 1813 originally named North East County School and in 1924 the name was changed. Since the 1980s, the school has been one of Britain’s most successful at producing top class rugby players.
Gemini undertook the role as main contractor to install the mechanical and Electrical works within the main boiler plant room.
The scope of works included the installation of 4no 600kw Hoval Gas Fired Boilers, associated Pumps, pipework, BMS controls.

Gemini were employed to refurbish the existing Boiler plant to include a hybrid LTHW system using natural gas boliers and ASHPs. The project consisted of 4no AIC Boilers, Pumps and Ancillary Equipment including modicications to the existing BMS system. The new system was future proofed to accept a bolt on ASHP arrangement. .
