Gemini  were responsible for the design and installation of a ballasted solar system that was installed on the top level of a multistorey car park in the heart of Newcastle city centre.

As the system was integrated into the existing electrical infrastructure of a busy hospital  that was open 24 hours a day and 365 days of the year a number of logistical challenges had to be overcome However, the operations team worked in close collaboration with Robertson Construction and the NHS team to ensure the seamless delivery of the project, with minimal disruption.

As part of the design Gemini installed optimisers to each panel to minimize the effects of shading and to maximise the yield for the NHS.
