Gemini Energy were employed by P James Construction to carry out the complete design, installation and certification of a bespoke commercial Solar PV and battery storage system for their offices and warehouse in Newcastle.

As part of the company’s carbon reduction strategy they had already invested in an electric vehicle and charging point and were keen to continue to increase this facility with more EV car charging on site.

With this in mind the company asked Gemini to utilise as much roofspace as possible to install a 45.51 kWp Solar PV system which in summer months would produce excess energy which would be captured in a battery storage system that would in turn feed the building’s electricity load rather than relying on expensive energy from the grid.
